De Volkskrant published my photostory about ‘The new Mathieu’. Inspired by the adventurous racing style of top cyclist Mathieu van der Poel, thousands of children get on their racing bike.
Always nice to see one of my photos on the front page of a national newspaper. This photo was part of a report on the flooding in Limburg for daily newspaper Trouw.
Last week, the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany were surprised by extremely heavy rain showers that lasted for days. This resulted in flooding, washed away houses, dike monitoring and a lot of water. I made several photoreports in various places in Limburg for daily newspaper Trouw.
Very proud that one of my photos has been included in the book ‘The Century of the Volkskrant’. A hundred years of history by the Volkskrant about the world of that time through the eyes of that time. A picture of my daughters in our home situation during the first lockdown. It was published in the Volkskrant on April 17 as part of my personal photostory “The corona bond of two sisters”.
The book 'The Century of the Volkskrant’ will go on sale at the beginning of January.
Today De Volkskrant published my photostory about the route of Paris-Roubaix. Corona will leave the cobblestone sections of the Hell of the North empty this year. What remains are beautiful landscapes and the magic of the pavés.
Today De Volkskrant published a very personal photo story of my. Due to the corona crisis the schools in The Netherlands are closed for more than a month. From day one I followed my daughters in quarantine at home through the viewfinder of my camera. During this strange period they come closer to each other. It seems that they realize they have to make something of it together.
Very happy with this beautiful new place for my Q-fever portrait series. From today it’s exhibited at the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport in The Hague. During the installation, Erik Gerritsen, Secretary General of VWS, stopped by for a short tour.
Last Friday the King’s Commissioner of Noord-Brabant Mr. Wim van de Donk opened the Q exhibition. Many people were present, including some of whom I have portrayed.
I am proud to announce that I have found a nice place for the exhibition
of my portrait serie of Q-fever victims. From today until December 20 it can be seen in the central hall of the Provincial Government of Noord-Brabant. Free access on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
